I was provided with laser treatment for ten toenails badly affected by toenail fungus by Dr Lucas Breedt on Saturday this last Saturday morning.

He was not only extremely efficient but also extraordinarily compassionate and generous as well.

We are amazingly fortunate to have a podiatrist of this calibre left in South Africa when so many have long since emigrated for more lucrative work overseas.

Lucas is a Health Professions Council registered podiatrist who graduated from the University of Johannesburg in 2016. In 2017 he was elected as the Chairman of the Gauteng branch of the Podiatry Association of South Africa of which he has been a member since 2013.

Lucas is passionate about all aspects of podiatry but has a special interest in sport injuries and pain management pertaining to the lower limb. Lucas focuses on injury prevention and treatment through biomechanical interventions and bracing. Lucas has completed short courses in Sonography, Bio-puncture and Needless injection therapy.

Lucas takes a holistic approach to the practice of podiatry relying on evidence based research to treat his patients, patient education is one of the pillars on which he bases his practice.
