Pembury was started in 1999 by our current CEO and founder, Andrew McLachlan. The first Pembury Lodge opened with only 5 residents and has since grown to over 400 residents across many lodges. Our goal is to become a national name in retirement, opening in all cities and towns in South Africa.

Our vision is to help people make the most of their well-deserved retirement years. All our lodges accommodate residents according to their needs, from independent living to frail care. We also offer various recreational and physical activities to ensure there’s always something to look forward to!
